When it comes to dental implant surgery, each patient’s needs are different. While some patients may have experienced localized trauma to a single tooth, other patients may be in need of complete oral reconstruction and a full set of brand-new teeth. Your implant-specific needs can only be determined by coming in for a consultation at Bellaire Modern Dental right here in Houston, TX. Our elite dental team will conduct a full mouth examination and determine a specific implant protocol that will leave you with a new smile that’s dazzling and fully functional!
Based on a variety of considerations (including budget), we offer removable implant-supported dentures, single dental implants, and full mouth dental implants. Our oral surgeons will discuss at length with you the advantages and disadvantages of each option, and will guide you to a treatment that will work for you and your needs. While the implant surgery itself is typically completed in a single office visit, it often requires four to eight months for complete healing to occur.
The first step of receiving life-changing dental implants is to schedule an appointment for your initial consultation. Since we tailor our dental implant solutions to each patient, it is crucial to have one of our oral surgeons conduct an in-depth consultation and oral examination prior to establishing an implant treatment protocol. Depending on the oral health of the patient, advanced procedures such as bone grafting may be required prior to the placement of the implant posts.
During your consultation, our doctors will also discuss at length your overall oral health care goals. Dental implants result in a set of brand new teeth, and as a patient, this is your opportunity to craft and engineer the perfect smile that you’ve always dreamed of. Consultations are typically completed in one office visit, after which you will be scheduled for surgical placement of your dental implant(s).
Believe it or not, dental implant surgery is actually not as painful and time-consuming as most patients think. In fact, the oral surgeons at Bellaire Modern Dental typically place most implants (including your provisional teeth) in a single office visit! We also offer a full range of dental sedation options, meaning your implant procedure will be fast, comfortable and virtually pain-free!
On the day of your implant surgery, your surgeon will place polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) provisional teeth, which are made from an extremely durable composite resin material. These provisionals can provide months of normal use and function prior to the (non-surgical) placement of your final set of replacement teeth. With your provisional restoration teeth, you will be able to eat, brush and floss normally.
After the surgical placement of your dental implants, several months of healing are required prior to the placement of the final prosthesis, which will be your permanent set of new teeth. While specific healing times will vary with each patient, ample time is required for the jawbone to permanently fuse with the titanium implant post. Once full healing is complete (as determined by your oral surgeon), you will be scheduled to come in for the placement of your final prosthesis, and when that is placed, your dental implant treatment will be complete.
The team at Bellaire Modern Dental uses only the finest and most advanced tools and materials for all dental implant surgeries, including full zirconia restorations for the placement of all final prostheses. Durable and esthetically beautiful, zirconia implants will provide decades (if not a lifetime!) of practical everyday use.
It is impossible to fully capture the life-changing benefits you will experience after receiving a set of brand-new replacement teeth. Between our award-winning oral surgeons and our renowned cosmetic dental artists, your replacement teeth will not only function as well as (or better than) natural teeth, they will leave you with a brilliant, stunning new smile that you will be proud to show off, no matter where you are or who you’re with. Dental implants will eliminate pain from and restore functionality to your eating and oral hygiene habits, and more importantly, they will reinstate the confidence and self-esteem that come with a perfect, healthy smile.
The team at Bellaire Modern Dental also believes in affordability and accessibility, which is why we offer a range of payment and financing options for all dental implant surgeries. We believe that no patient should be denied the oral care they need, so no matter your financial situation, call our office today and speak with a knowledgeable team member about a payment plan that will work for you.
